Along the way, as the story left my head and hit the page, I ran into bits and pieces that stayed with me.
I thought that the emblem of the Marines, out there, across the galaxy, would have a playful side to it. A little whimsy. The rocket ship I remember from old black-and-white Flash Gordon TV shows I watched as a kid. Only, in this universe it would be embraced, by an octopus.
It was in my head, and finally made real by a friend with a more artistic eye than mine.
That, and Daniel. One of the more complicated characters across the series. One of the more flawed. He even wrote that across his vests from time to time.
From that, the emblem to the left was born. It is also now trademarked and available across the merchandise you can purchase now from the above link.
Or the below link. I have not finalised this page's layout just yet.
“So, why TEEMILL?
I looked at the market out there, and I genuinely appreciated their approach. Organic fabrics, printed in the United Kingdom: "Teemill is a sustainable print-on-demand platform that specializes in creating eco-friendly clothing and merchandise. They offer a circular supply chain where products are made from natural materials, printed with water-based inks, and designed to be returned for remaking when worn out. This approach minimises waste and reduces the environmental impact of fashion.”
An example of the T-Shirt description:
Certified Organic Cotton t-shirt, 155g/m2. Wash cool, hang dry. GM free. Not tested on animals. Does not contain animal-derived products. Printed with low waste printing tech. Made in a renewable energy powered factory audited for a wide range of social and sustainability criteria.
